Got BizTalk Server in your Organisation... Here's what you can do

February 15, 2024

Available since the year 2000, BizTalk Server is an on-premises, stable, middleware platform that connects various systems, working as a broker between businesses, systems, or applications.

But there comes a time when any software reaches its End of Life (EOL), and whilst Microsoft has extended Mainstream Support for BizTalk, this is only a stop-gap measure. My view is that it’s better to plan ahead for a route out of reliance on BizTalk, rather than stumbling into a last-minute crisis situation.

But it’s not just reacting to EOL software in your estate - it’s worth highlighting that modernising your integration estate will bring significant benefits to your organisation too: improving business agility, reducing costs, and increasing efficiency. And one way to do this is with Azure Integration Services (AIS).

The Microsoft view is that by using close to cloud native fabric delivery, Azure Integration Services can run faster, cheaper, and be more scalable rather than relying on legacy architecture, and you can create executable business processes and applications using Azure Logic Apps.

As an organisation, our top conversation with customers (old and new) is about moving from on-premises integration solutions to the cloud, and our teams are fully engaged with this endeavour.

Don’t leave it too late - talk to us today about your own integration estate and what the roadmap looks like for a move to the cloud.
